What year truck do you own?
On the blown 5.4, the fuel rail on the driver's side needs to be moved out of the way to get at cyls 7 and 8. There is not enough room to get your tools or hands in there.
I had purchased a Direct Hits ignition upgrade about a year ago (bad call - the foolish things just don't work in this application). I was in direct contact with one of the engineers for the product and he had me trying several gaps on the plugs to correct the problems I had. Thus, I removed and reinstalled those plugs at least a dozen times within a 2 month period. I finally got fed up and just put the stock setup back in.
If you can change the plugs on my vehicle that fast, I'll pay you to do it next time.
