Poor performance

Hey guys, haven't posted in quite awhile but in desperate need of help. I'm having acceleration and idling problems. At idle, sometimes truck will idle okay and then idle rough. Accelerating is worse. I have to keep trans out of overdrive in the city and on the highway, I can't put it in overdrive until I hit 65 or better. I have had a tune-up done with in the last 1,500 miles and the problem went away for a few weeks. Now it's back. And even driving on the highway, if I want to get into it a little bit, it bogs down. What could possibly be the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lets start at the basics
1) You stated that you had a tune up. What did they do?
2) Is your truck NA or Supercharged?
3)when is the last time you changed your fuel filter?
4)have you checked for vac leaks and made SURE everything is plugged in..ie MAF, coil pack, tps sensor ect
5) How many miles on the truck
6) do you have any codes or CHECK Engine light?

Sounds like a coil pack issue if it only bogs under load.

While the engine is running... take each coil pack out 1 at a time. If the idle DOES NOT change when a coil pack is removed... that coil pack is bad.

Sorry to so long to reply. The job is a little crazy right now. Here is what has been done. I had it tuned up. The tune up consisted of new plugs, injector cleaning, intake cleaning, replaced fuel filter, oil change. Air filter was not changed. I have a powerstack filter from Lightning Force Performance. It had just been cleaned prior to tune up. It is a 2003 Harley Edition (supercharged). Fuel filter was changed at tune up. I did check for leaks and loose connections. Couldn't find any. The truck has 143,000 miles on it. I used the SCT Xcalibrator to try and pull codes. There were no codes indicated and no check engine light on. Hopefully this will give you a better view of what I am dealing with. Thanks in advance.

clean your maf sensor while your at it...if the air filter is a rechargeable one then it could have been over oiled and that oil can get sucked out of the filter and contaminate the MAF Sensor leads.....which will skew the readings and cause the PCM to make faulty adjustments in many areas of drivability. Good CRC MAF Cleaner from one of the parts stores and spray a couple shots on the maf sensor leads is all you need to do to clean it.

I found two of the coil packs loose. One was missing the screw that holds it in place. The other coil pack had the screw to break off. I'm going to replace the one missing but don't have any idea what to do with the one broken off. Has anyone experienced this before? I definitely don't want to have to replace the intake. Thanks

Can I find the weapon x coils at one of the auto parts stores or do I have to order?

Weapon X can only be ordered through a distributor.

Are you modded? If not the Weapon X aren't a good choice.

If you do go with Weapon X you will need to retune your engine because they will add more spark and you will lean out.
