I'm looking for a steering column gauge pod.
Has anybody used one of these?

Forgot where I got mine from...works fine, fits great, easy to install and take off. That is where I have my Boost Guage mounted.

Mike, I need to go to my storage and look to see if I still have mine. I'll give it to you if I can find it. Do you have a gauge to put in it yet?

That would be great!
No, not yet.

This one looked good.

That is a Aeroforce Interceptor Gauge. What color are you wanting to get?

I have black face with black Bezel that I would probably sell. I do not recall what color the lights are, but can check it out by hooking it up to my truck to see.

It is the gauge only though...you would need to get the cable that runs from your OBD port to the gauge.

Mike, I think most of these new multi-scan type gauges are electrical which are not as accurate or reliable as the old school mechanical ones. I find that the electrical ones are just ricey idiot lights. I'm not sure if there are new ones out that can give you multiple readings in just one gauge with mechanical sensors. I only have a dual pillar pod with a mechanical AutoMeter boost gauge and a DynoJet AFR wideband. It would be nice to try and get 'Boost+Air Fuel Ratio+IAT+EGT' all together in one package.

Maybe someone who has researched this recently will chime in and enlighten us?

as far as my under standing, the aeroforce interceptor has 2 analog imputs on the back of the guage for a wideband add on, or boost, or what ever you need.
i am buying one from mike for that reason, i will start out with the wide band add on, and down the road go with a boost sensor kit and keep everything in one guage for a clean look

Be careful when you put on the pod if u push it down to hard it will jack with the turn signal harness and it will crack, and your turn signals will not work consitstantly and it is a pain in the ars to fix.. can you say experience.

Do some research on the electrical A/F gauges vs. the mechanical ones that use the welded in exhaust bung. Those electrical ones are just a bunch of pretty little lights dancing around and don't really tell you anything other than one second you're lean and the other you're rich.

Electrical gauges are easier to hook up because they don't have the large fittings on the back needed to run the lines to the sensors. On the other hand the mechanical gauges don't need electrical power unless you want the gauge to light up at night.

Let's not get confused with electrical type gauges and digital readout displays now. Digital displays are cool because you don't have to try and find what number the dang needle is pointing to on an analogue display.

the wide band for the aeroforce is weld-in and requires the same sensor as the AEM one i had, so your mistaken on that one.
the boost and fuel pressure , oil pressure are all add ons to the aeroforce so im not sure your correct at all, all require there own power and hookups.
maybe we are talking about different gauges, But ive never heard the aeroforce not being accurate.

My comments weren't directed to any particular brand of gauge nor whatever one you are using. Check any true racer and see what type of gauge they prefer, mechanical or electrical.
