there's tons of guys out there with comp-r setups, but there's even more out there with regular full exhaust setups. You've got kooks, dynatech, lfp, obx, pacesetter, and probably one or two others I'm forgetting who make 2.5" setups for cheaper that a lot of people buy. While the price of the comp-r seems high at first, its the last exhaust system you'll ever need to buy, its everything from the headers to the exhaust tips, its larger, its stainless, and well its downright badazz Compared to cheap OBX setups the Comp-R is expensive, but compared to other dynatech, kooks, maggy, bassani setups in 2.5", its really not all that much more.

And don't get caught up too much in the supposed losses, etc. You'll lose some boost from decreasing back pressure, thats a good thing! And you can pulley back up to the same level you were previously and lay down even more power at the same level of safety.

Back in '06 ran 12.68 @ 108 with a stock block, ported blower, basic bolt-on's, and full 2.5" exhaust with high flow cats. In '07 I dropped to a 12.19 @ 112 with adding gears, a converter, and the comp-r. That half second didn't all come from any one mod, but even if the gears helped by 0.2, the converter by 0.2, the exhaust still helped by 0.1, AND I didn't have to upgrade a thing when I went fully built with a twin screw and 700 RWHP and 22-23 lbs of boost! Also my dyno numbers were essentially the same in 06 and 07, since converter and gears didn't affect the numbers, and the exhaust didn't really do much on that setup peak number wise, but the area under the curve is what matters, and the truck went faster. Its a great buy if you want the best exhaust system available.

Not to mention, the 3" sounds unbelievable, and the equal length LT's gives it that nice even pulse tone

@356 wow thanks that was some helpful info, im not to worried about that much loss if there any at all, and if i have to yeah ill boost a little more to make up for it, i was looking at they dynatech for a while .... but after watching a few vids and hearing the feedback on here i was sold, 2600 is well worth it and i wont get to throw it on for another 2 months, till i get back from iraq...plus i have my old set up that i can sell to make up for most of what i spent..... plus i have options i can go no cats or cats with the turn of a wrench....
