Man, you will be a HERO to many, many "orphans" like me if Mike can somehow track the production sequence #s. As you guys know, the VIN shows the production sequence # for our trucks for ALL F150s built for that year without distinction for body style.

Didn't the 02's and 03's come with a plaque in the center console that had the VIN and build #? Its been a while since I had mine, but I thought it was there.

yup,

hence the delimna, truck is missing this. Got a blank plate, just need to find the build number for the truck so that I can get r done and give it to my boss.

I haven't been called or emailed back yet from him. As soon as i find out something I'll post up.

Weren't all HD's built in Kansas City, and if so Is there someone who works at the plant that might be able to help as well?

good question, I would think so, maybe even the original dealer might have some paperwork on the truck, but I am figuring that would be a long shot.

00 were built in Canada.
01-03's were built in KC.
04's Kentucky?
There is a guy over at FTW that goes by the name of ShowYa (Brandon Ashlock) that oversaw the production of the 01-some of the 03's in KC before he took a different position within the company. He gave a play by play documention of the 03's only being built each night with VIN #'s also. I don't think this was done with the 01-02's just the 03's. He would post in sequence that they were built and give the VIN#'s also. The only way to narrow it down would be to find out your build date and find others with the same build date to narrow the build # to within 50 or so that they built each day.

I have tried the Dealer that first sold the truck: NO JOY! I have also contacted ShowYa: NO JOY!! Some owners got lucky and found build sheets underneath carpets & what not??

Best bet is what TAZZ suggested: and I have been contacting every '01 seller that I come across to check if their build date was close to mine(12APR2001). Seen an '01 with a MARCH build month (closest that I have seen) and his build # was in the 4,500 range.

What really kills me is that I have tracked and spoken to the original owner of my truck: NO JOY! Oh well....

if only FORD did what they did for the SVTs

Ok calling all 03 owners!

Build date on the truck that I am trying to get build number for is:
1/29/2003. So lets see the build numbers closest to this date before and after. Maybe I can narrow it down a little.
