The whole trick to great traction is experimenting. With my 16x9.5" slicks, i run 27# of pressure because they are narrow and it takes that much to hold the truck up. My Hoosiers recommend 20#. I have messed with the pressure and found this to be good to start with till my tires heat up. Then I usually have to let out some. Just try different pressures till you get the "hook" you're looking for. A lot of people tell you run 15#, run 17# run this run that...run what works. Every track is different every pass. That's part of the fun of drag racing. Just be careful running LOW pressure, if it gets squirrely when you get off the gas it's too low. BTW 25# turned out to be the best that day..
