JL Audio contacted me today and informed me that they were not able to repair my 500/1.
So they are sending me the 500/1v2 as a replacement. They also came through with a 300/4v2 so my amps match! Top notch customer service!

My 500/1 actually quit working. I had to send it in first and provide proof of purchase from an authorized JL Audio dealer. Because it was under warranty and they don't make the 500/1 anymore... they upgraded me to the 500/1v2. There was no cost other than shipping the old amp back to them.

No I did not have to buy the 300/4v2... because the 500/1 was under warranty... they aloud me to exchange my 300/4 for a 300/4v2 so my amps would match.

Sounds like JL stepped up to the plate again. They took great care of me last year when my amp failed and I found out that the stereo shop I bought it from had sold me a used amp. I'll definitely buy more JL products in the future.
