remote start + unlocking doors

Just had a nustart remote start put in. My problem is that when you press the button to start the truck, it unlocks the doors then starts the truck and then locks the doors. There is a good 7 seconds that the truck is unlocked while it is starting. Is this just a bad install or does this happen for everyone. I have a 2003........thanks

Installer issue. What system did you install? (several models of NuStart) Sounds like a BCM (Body Control Module) or Dome Supervision (lights/doors) issue. Your installer should be able to identify control codes for programming your specific system (most all are DEI codes anymore).
