well it seems another JL 300/2 went out on me. it sounds like what it sounded like when the US droped the A Bomb on china.

It starts really high pitched and drops down in the hz and then ends with a final LOUD pop. and when i say loud pop its definatly 300 watts of all it has POP through the focals. it had done it for a while just sparingly but now it seems to be happening alot more when it gets warmed up. So i yanked the turnon wire out of it the other day and it just sits in the bed. I didnt want it to blow up some focals while it was at it. just ran out of warrenty which sucks. But hopefully i get the treatment like what stein got. all new amps. i would love JL to say they cant fix it and if i would like to upgrade to V2s. LOL Sure i would ALL 5 OF THEM!

Im also thinking my box is comming apart again. it has to be the worst box out of the 5 or so i have had in my truck. im getting closer and closer to doing a cut through and adding another 12w6 and going ported. that should finally cover my want for the Lo Los

anyway just giving yall an update on how unlucky this truck has been for me...its already slo but now im losing tunes...but as long as it keeps running i guess it could be worse.

one reason i decided i am going to a HUGE HUGE amp vs 4 little ones... there are a few nice big ones out there.. just need to find the hook up on those...

Sorry for your troubles. Seems as though you should stay away from JL amps.
