What oil

I just bought 2003 harley truck with 70000 miles on it,and I am wondering what kind of oil I need to use in it,cant find any info from the previous owner.also does the motor oil lubricate the blower?..and since I am asking all the new owner questions,is there anything I need to check on or keep a eye on since this truck has so many miles on it...I love this truck and I would hate to see anything happen to it..I ll be joining the club soon..Thanks for the help ,anyone else here in Oklahoma city

5w20 is what it calls for..

There is oil in the blower...access/fill hole on front of blower for it.

get an oil seperator for it...do a search on oil seperator and you will get all the info that you need to know. If your IC has never been cleaned then probably a good time to do it. Has it ever been modded? Plugs ever changed? when was last time Fuel Filter was changed?

Welcome aboard and ask away.

5w20 Mobil 1 full synth for me...you will get tons of opinions on what brand but Mobil 1 is used the most.

Oil Seperator...got two vendors here that carry kick azz Oil Seperators. Vince and Dbl G...they may cost a little but will work extremely well.

i've tried mobil1 full syn on my last trans am during the whole time i had it but it really didn't make much of a difference to me than the castrol regular on the trans am prior to that.... long as you change it when you're suposed to doesn't matter just dont get a crappy brand..

I will tell you what not to use... Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic!

My oil changing place talked me into trying it. I had lifter noise every time I started my truck.

I went back to Royal Purple.

What would be considered a crappy brand? I thought about going to Castrol full synthetic.
