i think you will be fine.. goto oreilys and have them order a 65/66/67 inch belt...

then go in the next day and play with them all.. the tightest one is the one to use...

With the 2.7 and Metco idler and limiter removed, I'm maxed out with the 66" right now. It is nice and tight. Adding a 2lb lower, I just wonder if an extra inch (67") will be enough?????

did you do the tensioner mod??

grind the hell outta the stop...

and you should be able to run the same belt...

its only 3 bolts... maybe 4 for the tensioner to come off...

also helps with belt slip...

with the tensioner mod i would run a 65" belt

4080650 should be the part number...

if not

K080650 is a gates belt...

you will have belt slip either way...

thats a small *** pulley without some idlers or a NON Slip pulley

6lb lower/3.25 upper/METCO idler pulley kit with 90mm pulley-70"

3.25 is stock upper for us idler kits are pretty close to all the same except for the MP.....

IF your tensioner tab has not been removed then most likely a 70, might be possible to get a 69.5 on her though....

Hit up GreyHD I am pretty sure he is running the same setup you will be and can confirm

with the tab removed and a metco/lfp idler you might even be able to get a 68.5 on her....knocking that tab off really gives for alot of extra compression to get belts on.

I've got stock HD upper, 6lb lower, metco old style idler(w/o the hole in the center), 100mm lfp idler pulley. Which gatorback belt do I need to get?

add 1-2 inches...

its not hard to to... you just grind the stops off to allow the tensioner to go farther...

so do you think a 4080700 will work? I really don't want to do the tensioner (SP?) mod.
