I personally tried the door edge material and it worked okay, but in the end I bought a J-jent and fell in love all over again.

No kidding Venom... I was reading it the other night...

I had the $10 grill mod forever... until a j-jent dropped in my lap for a great price.. I was happy until I got a great deal..

Smoak, can I ask why you dislike the J-jent?

i'm assuming you dont like the look of it mounted over the stock lower grille?

yank the lower grille out, paint the j-jent vertical bars black so you cant see them, and fab up some L brackets and flush mount it in the lower grille opening, and its about as exact of a matching lower to the upper as you can get

well...unless you actually cut apart an upper grille and stick it in the lower like one member here has done now that is pimin

I wouldn't answer that Josh. Some things are best kept to yourself.

my lower still looks good after 2 years, never seen a JJ Ent up close so I can't say anything about it.
But it would have to be pretty incredible for me to see $90 difference plus all the hassle of modding the part and fabbing brackets to mod and install a brand new part.
I just know I don't like the way it sticks out through the hole in the valance if you mount it the way it's "supposed" to be mounted.

it's just glare, they're bright as hell!
I really like them

my stock fog lenses broke (you know a thing or 2 about that don't ya Josh?) and the local vatozone had APC "spidereyes" on sale cheap so I snagged them and used the lenses on my stock housings - thye fit perfect. Supposed to look like a bunch of little projectors I guess. They don't work worth a crap, but the new headlights are bright enough to more than make up for it and they look kinda cool, better than broken lenses anyway.

Now ya got me thinking, if I could make the lens spin and put a orange LED on the top in the middle, it would look like a mini gattling gun!

I need to get some of the turn signal bulbs that are silver but light up amber, anyone know what I'm talking about & where to get 'em?

there's usually some APC (A Piece of Crap) bulbs on ebay that are chrome and light up orange, or no-name ones as well (probably just as good/bad quality as APC ones, if they arent actually APC)

but i perfer Sylvania Silverstar corner bulbs. look kinda iridescent when off, not very noticible at all, then light up super bright orange when on. 100% DOT Legal

here's a few pics of mine (before i got my SYlvania Xenarc HID headlights)

can barely notice the bulb when off
http://fordtruckworld.tenmagazines.c...356/312881.jpg

and lights up brighter than stock when on, at least i think
