Here some pics and details about how to install a rear skirt on a Screw,'01,'02 and '03 have to either go thru this or get the piece from SS or DGM...the '00 guys that like this MOD,are lucky...they share the same bed as the "L's" and no MOD's are required to install them,besides "maybe" drill a hole or two on the bed.

What you need:

Parts-

A pair of Lightning skirts (the ones behind the wheel)
1-1/4" threaded rod (from Home Depot)
16-1/4" nuts and washers
12-1"x1/4 bolts(6 per side)
2-12"x3" pieces of alluminum
JB weld or similar
masking tape

Tools-
angle grinder + good hand control
drill
10mm socket and open whrench
screw driver
marker pen

if you decide to paint it yourself like I did:
800 grit sand paper
1 can of duplicolor trucks and SUV's
1 can of duplicolor clear coat
1 small can of thinner



start by taking the plastic pieces on your truck,they are those where the burnout rubber gets sticked to behind the rear wheel,3 plastic plugs on the bottom and 2 behind the fender flare is what holds that in place.
put a long piece of masking tape along the line(dirt line) that's behind the plastic,doesn't matter how good you clean your truck,all trucks will be dirty there.



the top line of the masking tape,will be your reference

now,start working on the skirts,put them on the side by the truck,by the masking tape to have an idea of what has to be grinded,here is a pic of two sides,the one on the left is already trimmed to the body contours of Screw,note,when you have thode pieces in your hand,on the far tip(bumper side) you will see a flat surface,right where on the skirts are two plastic pins together,you will trim a straight line from there to the fat side(fender flares side)



the way I did on my truck,was:
After the straight line is grinded,I then marked the contours of the fender flare on the skirt,and was grinding and test fitting (little by little) you can ruin the whole piece if you grind too much,so be very careful when grinding.

Now go to the alluminum piece,you will have to slightly bent it along the 12" side,to follow the contours of the bottom of the Screw bed,this piece will work as a bottom bracket to the skirt.





since I was doing the MOD for the first time,there were a lot of things that shouldn't be done if doing it again,of for somebody else following this.

I had to drill holes and put bolts on the sides of the skirt...to hold it in place for me to figure and mark underneath the bracket holes,they were all filled before the paint.If you have someone to hold it for you will be a plus,so you can mark down the bracket holes and after bolting it,then instead drill holes on the skirt and bolt like I had to,you will just mark thru the stock holes in the bed for the studs you will bond on the skirt,mine has two,you can do the same or use three instead.

Mark them,check and double check the angle,and cut the stud,around 1" each,two per side,and bond them with JB or similar on the inside of the skirt(where you had marked)





after all the studs are firm in place,all the cuts and grindings are done,test fitted,you can sand prep and paint to the color of choice...(black is faster)







Then install it and take some pics to show us










PS. You can get the same style skirt from DGM or SS,but there are two things to consider,as far as I know,SS don't sell them separated and they are not made to fit the fender flares,other than that, no serious MOD's are needed hence their are made for the Screws.

How did you get the upper rear corner of the skirt... near the bumper to get closer to the truck.. mine is sticking out a little.
