Only the digital climate control unit out of a 00-01 would work, 02-03 would be too large and thus, not fit. Did your truck not come with a digital climate control unit? If not it may not be worth it to convert.

digital wasn't out till 02, so the 00-01's are all manual. I don't see why the 02-03 wouldn't work though, but you'd need the full harness, new bezel, and any other misc crap that goes along with it.

The climate control unit I got previously was out of a 2001 Lariat Supercrew.

Well I was wrong remembering the build date, it was 3/30/2001. Here's the pic.

The above picture is just a blown up version of this picture:

Smile Thanks for the thread!

I had the same problem like most with the a/c diverting to defrost. I just finished the o ring swap and It solved all my problems!!!!! It feels colder than before and I just saved myself $800.00 that the dealer was going to charge me!!! I took my 03 harley to 2 different auto shops and both gave different diagnosis. I figuire before I spend that kind of money i should try this first, and I'm glad i did.

Thanks

I know what your talking about, one the lines from my icy res has a leak under the crimp so I have no a/c, luckily today it only got to 86 but I won't be able to get it in the shop till 7/10

I might try fixing my old climate control unit doing the o-ring swap, if that works then I'll have a fully operational spare in case it happens again.
