keyless remote fob programming
On other fords I own, I can just cycle the key to run/off 8 times, then the door locks cycle, hit a button on the new remote, and it gets programmed in.
I tried this on my truck to pair a new remote, but the locks never cycled. I searched the how to listings here but couldn't find the proceedure, little help? |

I know its in the user manual. I did it years back after we got the 1st truck to add a 3rd set of keys & fob to it.

figured it out, it is turning the key on/off 8 times in a row, you just have to go really fast then stop with the key in run (engine off) on the 8th cycle.
got 3 factory fobs and 2 of my mustang fobs programmed into the truck now and they all work ![]() now to find somebody to cut/program the 2x new factory ford HD keys without resorting to the dealer... |

Me too. What are the options? Dealer quoted me an insane amount. Locksmiths were close. Most didn't have a clue what I was talking about.

did you get an estimate? Ventura is going to be out of my way... But if his price is right... its really hard to justify paying $200+ for a key. I can only imagine what a pain in the *** it would be to loose the 1 I have.

Yeah the problem is... If you only have 1 of the keys that were programmed. Keys I can get all day...I just can't get them programmed.
