Man those look NICE, but how dow you empty them? Into the bag from below? The one thing I like about my REM sep. is that I can unscrew it and pour it back into the crankcase. I believe the L&S kit even sits on top of the oil fill and recirculates for you. I fill mine up pretty much every 1 to 1.5 weeks, so having to empty two (from below) would be a turn off. Now, if you can unscrew the bottom of the can and not have to use a pet****...well then.. I may have to look into this since the bling factor is high

Yes, the passenger side at this point , however I feel it may be a little to early to tell. With less than a week under it's belt so to speak and keeping in mind I never floor my truck , in fact I hardly ever give it more than half throttle. welcome to the club, RedFox...

Thank you Dbl G.
Would you mind updating your results on this thread in the next 2 weeks once you get a chance to be more spirited in your driving? I noticed that most are focussing on the passenger's side, yet the visible impact is in the throttle body and the boot. Is it possible that adding a device on the passenger's side slows down pcv air flow and affects the driver's side. Thanks, Red |

Any impasse to the flow will effect it , but to what degree. The product I am using has the same inside diameter as the stock piping. There filtration system is such as to you can clean it , there by also reducing any flow. My guess would be once a month at this point. WE WILL SEE.
Right now, I am right there with you on the amount of oil in the air tube However my first draining resulted in a big fat 0. We shall see. |

Update
Three days later I drained them both and got about half the amount. However the driver-side catch can in it's current configuration isn't producing any oil.
On to plan two, My second guess is the oil in the cold air tub is coming from the vent that runs from the back of the Plenum (passenger-side front 3/4" tube ) too the middle of the cold air tube. I post up some info in a week.. |

Check this out Dbl G.
Pics of my Aussie RHD Conversion I have got heaps of pics taken since that I'll go through at some stage. By the way I am curious why all the oil separators installs on the passenger side are fitted between the "T" & the upper plenum instead of below the "T" which would be between the "T" & the PCV. If it was fitted below the "T" wouldn't it then filter the oil from the PCV for both lines running off the "T"????? I have asked this a few time & haven't really been told why everyone installs it above the "T".

Doesn't the other line off the "T" also go to the plenum on the drivers side opposite the one you are filtering? I thought I followed the line around the back of the block & it ended back at the upper plenum but on the opposite side. Could be wrong???
