Quick Help Please

I think I might have messed up but need to know for sure. I bought a L snout and I just noticed that it says that it does not come with the rotor pack. How hard is the snout swap now?

It's very easy. Do what Stew said on the previous post. An additional tip is try to avoid is breaking the seal between the bearing plate (The part the snout bolts to) and the blower case. Use 2 small Vise Grip locking pliers and clamp the bearing plate to the blower case via the little dogs ears located at the upper left & right corners of the bearing plate. I used some thin rubber strips to avoid marring the blower case with the vise grips. After the blower oil has been sucked out & snout bolts removed, gently tap the outer perimeter of the snout in the area where the bolt holes are to break the seal. The snout to bearing plate has 2 alignment dowel pins which will require a little finesse to get the snout off. I also suggest you stuff a bunch of disposable shop rags under the blower snout & in the valley to catch any residual oil that comes out when you break the snout to bearing plate seal. Make sue you also use an anaerobic sealer like Loctite Gasket Eliminator Sealer PN#71231 or other suitable sealer. If you don't you will likely have blower oil seepage when you are done. One last thing, make sure you pay close attention to correctly align the holes in the coupler to the dowel pins coming out the the rotor pack.
Good luck, & dont forget to re-fill your S/C with the proper S/C oil to the bottom of the fill plug.

You need 2 bottles, get them from a GM dealership at about $8 each instead of $30 each from ford.

you will need two 4 ounce bottles but will ony use 6 oz to fill it up to the site hole...
