Finally got my first kill with the new motor

Heading over to Jaxonville yesterday on I-10, amber and I come up on a guy and his wife in a convertable porsche boxter. I got the cruise set at 80 and we slowley pass him by...well he decides to give it a lil more gas and stays right in my blind spot.

Well, I guess the exhaust was too much for him so he jumps ahead and gets in front of me with a quickness and then we are stuck in a lil bit of traffic.

We end up behind 3 left lane riders who are doing about 65 while passing 2 cars in the right lane doing about 63.

Well I knew the minute a hole opened up, the porsche was going to go...so right when he did, I hit the OD off and gave it some gas.

I was on that porches rear end like a fly on shait...and right as the left lane cleared I saw him go to downshift and I gave it some gas (no WOT, maybe 3/4th of the way) and moved over in the left lane.

He had both hands on the wheel with his wife's hands on the dash...Amber and I quickly came up next to him, looked over and just pulled away, and away, and away, and away...I let out when the speedo said about 120 and the porsche was a good 5 car lengths back

He did a fly-by and I went back on cruise...caught up to him not to much later and when I went by I got the

Cool guy...of course we responded with the and I gave him a lil "taste of the power" again as we went by.

You could tell that him and his wife were talking about the truck and how quickly it stayed on them and overtook them.

i had a similar situation with a boxter as well. the guy wasn't too happy that a redneck in a truck of all things pulled away from him like he was standing still! he of course, did the flyby once i slowed down, and avoided eye contact when we got to the next set of lights.
