Smile Lfp New Intercooler Heat Exchangers

LFP is pleased to announce the introduction of our performance intercooler heat exchangers.
All aluminum construction, Tig welded. Core is over twice the overall size of the stock core. Maintains stock bumper brackets and comes with mount hardware and rubber bushings. Will not hang below stock bumper. Remember, making more boost equals making more heat. Stock exchanger becomes inefficent and less effective the more boost you add. Do your Harley D. a favor and help it stay cool. Please contact LFP for SPECIAL introductory pricing.

LFP heat exchanger install

For you guys wondering about installation and clearance issues, I don't have any to address. My heat exchanger went in with no porblems thanks to Mark's great design and using the same style brackets, only made from aluminum. As for clearance, Since I have the Lightning valance, it hangs just before flush with bottom of valance. With the lower rubber partition or flap, you can't even see the heat exhanger at all. My only regret is that I can't show it off unless you can see it through my Trenz billet grill.

As for function, I immediately saw 100 degrees drop in EGT temps on my Autometer Pyrometer at cruising speeds. I also made over 400 rwhp SAE corrected with just Lighting upper and 2# lower pulley at 96 degrres ambient air temps!! That is efficient power, which I attribute to the exchanger and Spal twin fans. Now, modifying those to fit the bigger exchanger is another story. Maybe Mark can make a better design on this shroud and I'll be all over it. Btw, I don't work for LFP, I'm just a very satisfied customer who is pleased with the results. If you live in arears with extreme heat, this is a must for not only perfromance, but reliability, as well.

this sounds very persuading, makes me want to get one of these myself, would be nice to get a dyno to see just what the exchanger itself gives, anybody got a rouge estimate?

Smile LFP heat exchangers

Heat kills power. The addition of a heat exchanger allows intake temps. to run cooler, longer. An increase in temp. means a drop in power. As you add boost stock exchanger becomes less effective. Overall a much larger intercooler heat exchanger will help prevent power from dropping and prolong the life of your engine. You won't be adding power, you will be maintaining. Summer driving, stop and go traffic, racing etc..

Mark/LFP

I read somewhere that the charged air temp gets upto 300 at full boost from the Eaton. My intercooler water runs so cool that I keep checking to see if its going through. I thought I had a block or something the water never gets past warm. When I touch the heat exchanger after a long drive it never is more than a little warm. I have to say though that the E-Fan was a very noticeable increase...them tires bark!

You better be bringing this, your new reservoir/washer tank (or whatever cool name you settle on for it) and other types of stuff to L'Fest 'cause I'm bringing an empty suitcase to fill up with parts to bring back!
