Playstation2 acting up

After you play for a little while the red light flashes off and on and the only way to get it back on is to turn it off and back on but them it does the same thing.Any help......

Cant help with your problem. But I have a friend who bought the best thing ever for the PS2. Its a hard drive,netword adaptor and loader cd. It cost me about $150 and you get about 15 top games on it already installed and it works just like a pc Hard drive. Just insert a game into the PS2 and copy it to the PS2 hard drive. Take out cd and return it to whence it came. simple and you never have to buy a ps2 game ever again. Just rent them and copy them onto the ps2.

simply amazing.

Is it overheating? Stand it on its end and have an oscillating fan blow on it.

Mines been being weird too, it wont play in blue PS2 discs, even though it used to!

I gave up on tring to play blue disk a while ago.Tried it on its side but same thing,forgot to do the fan thing I'll try that tonight

Onebad02. I got mine off Ebay uk. Just go to Ebay and type in playstation 2 hard drive. Ive checked the USA version of ebay and theres not really one on there.

But If anyone has a ps2 I cant recomend it enough. Just plug in the hard drive. Run the CD and thats it. Mine came with about 12 games pre loaded onto it. Driv3r, spiderman 2, medal of honor etc.

You need the

Ps2 hard drive (dont go bigger that 120mb this is the biggest it will take)

Network adaptor

HDD loader software

thats it.

Just noticed that the fan is no longer running on my ps2.So it cuts off when it over heats.Guess I'll be playing the game cube until I can get another fan.
