are you talking about the emoticons hosted on this site?
if not, then are you talking about emoticons hosted by other sites? if the emoticons are coming from other sites, and you are hot linking them, check to see if the site's address has changed. basically, you can host your own emoticons. just find one you like, (steal it) right click on it and save picture as...then you would have to host it somewhere... if you are a paid member of this site, you could probably host them in the gallery section. if not, and you just want to keep hotlinking them, check to make sure the host site still exists. for instance, here is a smiley from http://www.ozzu.com/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif to show it on here (hot link to it from here), i copied the link, then type, IMG]http://www.ozzu.com/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/IMG except leave the [ at the beginning and ] at the end, and it will show up like this not sure if this is even close to the problem or question you have or for that matter if any of what i have said is true, so if not i apologize in advance. ![]() |

I'm broke
|
That's not the problem. I'm not trying to copy or hot link anything. For example, the smiley at the bottom of your message has a cloud that says something and it goes away and the smiley guy walks off the screen. My home computer does not show any of that animation. It will be "frozen" in one orientation. I'm at work where these things work. It's especially frustrating when there is a picture GIF where something is happening, but I don't have animation to make it work.

right click on blue internet explorer icon on your desktop and select properties.
(or, if you have a browser open, you can click the Tools drop down list and select Internet Options...from there, click on the "Advanced" tab) under the advanced tab, scroll down to the multimedia section... it should look similar to this |
