I got an exhibition of speed ticket... 4 points --- not cool... It tripled my insurance... I went to court and got it reduced to an unsafe start, a 1 point offense, but for some reason the Beverly Hills courthouse has not reduced it on my record. I've been trying for months to get it changed with no luck, it sucks.

I'll spout off every once in a while, but I'll say again...no one has to worry about ever offending me.
Main reason I opened my piehole in this case, is cause what I know of Del I like a lot, so it surprised me and I had to bust his chops a bit. Nobody likes a ticket and I don't begrudge anyone for venting about that or an unfriendly encounter. I try to only pipe in when I think I can offer some insight. Don't hesitate to bust me down if I get on a roll! |

I personally applaud police officers with the 9 to 5 attitude. I'm sure it's hard to have a "normal" social life if you don't. I've always said that any cop that was "consistant" was a "good cop". Whether he/she is the biggest ahole in the world or the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet, as long as he is consistant and people "know what to expect" from you is to me, the most important factor. The police officers that scare me, are the ones that are nice one day and give you nothing but hell the next day for no apparent reason. No one has to deal with more crap and abuse on a daily basis in America on the job than a police officer. What scares me also is watching "Cops" and seeing people "manhandled" from time to time. I am hearing impaired, I talk slow and with a slight slur due to a stroke. My balance is terrible and i doubt seriously if i could do some of the "sobriety" tests and pass. I haven't drank in over 10 years or had a cigarette either. I DO have numberous tattoos, long hair and a Harley Truck... I just wonder what might "happen" with the wrong cop yelling for me to do something a certain way and me not complying fast enough or to their satisfaction and being shot or "manhandled" at best. Being arrested and handcuffed because i can't pass sobriety test even though they smell NO alcohol. Having my truck torn apart and or towed and impounded for no other reason. These are concerns that I and many other disabled people worry about. Even though it says on my DL that i am hearing impaired.
