Video editing help

I have a video downloaded on my computer being played through Windows Media Player 11. I have 5 minutes of video but only need the beginning 1:30 of it to distribute. Does anyone know if there is a program I need to to do this? I thought it was possible for me to do this without downoading extra software. Any suggestions?

You can use Windows Movie Maker to edit it, It comes with Windows XP.

My Dell doesn't have Windows Movie Maker I'm looking in my programs and I don't see it there. I'll see if I can download it from online.

I downloaded the windows xp update so I have it now, Thanks.
