Instead of a built motor, my way to spend 10k is...

On a 2009 Hayabusa. I am leaving in half an hour to buy this bike. I have a request to EVERYONE reading this. Please pray for me. I am buying this as a toy, not something to get myself killed on. When you finish reading this sentence I ask if you can take just one minute out of your day to pray for my protection.

Thanks guys, God bless you all!!!

Here she is!!

Nice bike...but from someone who has been riding motorcycles since I was a lil kid, I have one question to ask you....

How many bikes have you owned before and what were the size of the motor?

As I have had people ask me to sell them my CBR 900RR and I will not sell it to anyone who does not have a lot of experience on a motorcycle.

Even I am a lil timid about riding a Busa...if that tells you anything.

I have motocross experience and plenty of experience on my dads Harley. Yes I am very well aware this machine is on a whole new platform. However I am not going to waste my time starting on a 600, going to a 750, then 1000, then Busa. I am a firm believer in getting to know your specific ride as well as you can, then turn up the throttle more the more comfortable you get.

I adjust VERY well to anything with a motor. However at revving up only to 6k on this bike has already scared me. I will respect it and take things VERY slow. This is the ultimate production bike

Glad you got the experience you have and it sounds like you understand that the Busa is an entirely new beast when compared to motocross and harleys.

That is a lot of power, quickly...and that respect is what you have to have on any bike you ride on the street.

Mine red lines at 11,000 and I can easily hit 130 in 2nd gear...that busa is an even more of a crazy biatch. Get your gear (pants, jacket, boots, gloves, & helmet) and ride safe.

Yeah listen to Matt good advice. If you don't have the gear buy it. I will pray for you. As a person who was propped up on a mini- bike at age 5, race motocross, been thru 2 track day schools and raced supermoto for a season, it will be embarrassing when the guy with a ton of experience smokes you on the twisties with a 600. Be careful. That is a fun ride though. kris built a damn turbo hyaboosa motor for a snowmobile with a turbo that was stupid. Will try to find the video. I think it made 620 at the track.

Simple solution.... I won't race him on the twisties, just the straight aways

I have already layed down a bike in the past. So now that I have already been through that, I am exempted from that rule with this one haha
