comp-r

i just bought the comp-r and recently got some useful info about not having the mods to support the system, with being maxed on bolt ons and running about 16# did i just pay 2500 to loose power? HELP

with what mods i have will i be alright?

If you are running 16# on a stock block you are pushing it a little. You are probably not going to see any increase in power and yes, you may lose torque and or HP. The stock manifolds are actually pretty good and support about 500 rwh. When you exceed that, you will have a benefit from the comp-r. It does sound good though.

haha thanks man.... i was going to blame you anyway for telling me to buy it.....jk but really i was sold when i heard the latest video you posted..... and if i ever buy another exhaust after this one shoot me ..... i just wish i would have bought it when you told me too what close to 2 years ago instead of listening my old shop.....but live and learn right

@fepony, yeah i dont know it the dudes math is right .... i havent installed it, its waiting for me along with the rest of my goodies...but i keep getting told with the proper tune ill be fine

haha no problem man, just trying to help you spend your money the RIGHT way the first time.

I'm sure your boost gauge will read somewhere around 12-14lbs with your setup. You should be fine.

which i should have done in the first place.....thing that sux i did the math last night.. between the almost 3 in exhaust, the crappy tune, intake, etc im at close to 5500 of things i shouldnt have gotten, i just hope i can get someone to buy my existing set up...which dont get me wrong isnt bad, just not what i wanted

you're fine man. I ran a comp-r without cats when I had a 6 lower, stock upper, stage 2 port, all the other basic bolt-on's and while I only dynoed 412 hp and 483 rwtq, I ran 12.1 in the 1/4 mile Its not all about the dyno numbers.

Not to mention, the truck will sound incredibly badazz that no other 2.5" system will come close to!
