New guy here from Central IL, Harley #551
Hi, I just joined today, and am new to the Harley truck scene, or Ford scene for that matter. Picked this truck up a little over two weeks ago, and have been very happy with it. I believe the former owner was a member here because there is a NHTOC sticker on the back window. The truck is a 2007 #551, AWD, all options. Previous owner installed a K&N intake, bed rug, color matched hard tonneau cover, tinted the windows, and put in some husky liners. I have only put on a bugflector because I live in a country area and drive on backroads. Future mods, for now, include a magnaflow catback, carriage works lower grill, and the back husky liner to complete the set.
One thing I would really like to know is this... can a front leveling kit be safely installed on an AWD truck? Unlike most I do not like the lowered look and would prefer to have a level sitting truck. I put a 2.5" kit on a 2007 FX4 with the 20's and it looked great, and I would like to have a similar look. Doesn't seem to be a wealth of knowledge on this topic from what I have seen. |

welcome to the site! best bet on the leveling kit post up in the Gen III section and maybe somebody will have some info for you. one guy a few weeks ago was just looking into lifting his gen III and a lot of guys were recommending looking into Rize.
Checkout the build# section too, might be able to track down the original owner. If they had a NHTOC decal they were probably a paying club member! |
