new guy with a body style question??
I'm looking into getting an 01-04 harley truck versus getting a lightning as these seem to be the years with the same engine as the lightning.
my question is this...I cant seem to find a flareside bed model with the extra cab (supercab?? like a half suicide door thing). are the supercharged harley trucks ONLY available in the super huge twin door (crewcab??) model?? I cant get a crewcab model mainly because they're just too big lol. I was hoping I could find one with the flareside bed with the extra cab if possible. anyone know if this is actually an available body trim for the supercharged harley trucks?? oh yeah, were any supercharged harley trucks available as 4x4?? |

If you want the 2000 flare bed...plan on changing it from N/A to SC cuz as mentioned above the only trucks that came supercharged started with the 2002 and they are supercrew

all you would have to do is swap the upper intakes. you would need alot of little odds and ends but it is completely do-able. i did my 01 afew years ago and been loving it ever since. get in touch with mike from madenterprise he is a sv on here and has helped me and many others do this conversion!!!

makes me wonder if it would cheaper to buy a wreck and rip everything I need off of it and then part out the rest?? lol, that would be funny considering I dont have room for a crewcab truck much less a normal truck AND a wrecked one ![]() |

you can get the upper s/c swap off ebay. when i bought mine it was brand new in the fact. ford crate with inj., new cop, everything. i paid $1500 for it then another $1500-2000 for everything else. still well worth it. now im pulling my motor & trans and putting in a built motor, trans and whipple. becareful once the blower whine hits its addictive.

I actually saw one ebay listing for a harley engine/trans with harness and computer. after selling off the ecu and the transmission that should put enough money to do the rest of the parts needed. I just wish the stupid lightning or harley has the supercab option sigh. I mean I dont think I'd fret TOO much it's not 4x4 but I gotta be able to stick an extra guy or two in the truck instead of in the bed for commuting haha. |
