new owner of 02 DSG

Just got it yesterday and love the truck! I have an 02 Lighting and it sure is nice to have the extra room! It's bone stock except for the k@n and has 55K on the books. Snug top with flames on the top, looks really good. I'm looking for a dvd player, if anyone has any good info please shoot me an e-mail!
Thanks,
Bill

Scott AFB...25 minutes from St. Louis. I'll be here till Aug. and then off to Alaska! Just got back from Balad two weeks ago and I've been wanting an DSG since I bought my lightning. I'm buying the rear shocks tomorrow and already have front ones from my L. I'm looking for a nice radio, but not wanting to spend 1,000 on one! LOL!

New Owner 2002 DSG

Congrats! I just got a 2002 DSG with less than 31,000 miles and it is brand new! No sign of anything ever having been in the bed. Snugtop helps keep that clean too. Picked it up on the night of the 29th and installed an AEM brute force intake today which was harvested from my 2002 Black HD that I totaled 3 weeks ago. Tomorrow I hope to install 22's that I already have and 2" shackles next weekend. I'm so happy to be back in a Harley truck and I look forward to participating in this club.

I just cleaned it up today and for the money I paid for it...I'm really happy with the way the truck looks! You would never guess it has 55K on the books. Looks like a 15K vehicle. The gentlemen I bought it from really took care of it. I told my self no mods...but I already bought the 2'' shacles for it and some bilstein shocks. Maybe a valve body and 4x4 pan next? I can't leave anything alone!! LOL!

no shame in modding them! These trucks really should be modded with at very least the basics! shocks, shackles, ftvb, 6 lb lower, programmer, intake!

Just bought 4 bilstein shock with 5K on them for 100 bucks...next week I'll get the factory tech valve body and 4x4 pan. Do I need a tune for this guys? I will be towing with this truck mainly...still put a 6 lbs on it?
Thanks,
Bill

you don't need a tune with a ftvb, and if you get a tune, make sure the trans settings are left stock.

if you're doing heavy towing you won't want to be in boost, but plenty of guys still tow with a lower pulley and just be sane with the throttle. You can always get an interchangeable pulley setup to drop the boost down when towing.

Think I'm getting a DNX 9140 kenwood...expensive, but has all the goodies.
