why is my avatar setting disabled?

i was wondering why i cant use an avatar for my posts. i read
somewhere that you have to have 250 posts before you can
create your own, but i have seen a few members with only 60 or so posts and they have their own avatar already! why?? isnt there a list you can pick from until you get enough posts? i dont have it. i get a message that says the administrator has disabled the avatars.

how do you get a picture at the bottom of your posts?

the pic at the bottom of your post is called a sig pic. avatars are the pic that is below your screen name, location, and post count.

for a sig pic, you need to have the pic loaded somewhere online that supports external linking (not FTW or f150online galleries) and then copy the URL into your sig using the IMG tags

I believe the people running this board have opted to not allow avatars.

Avtars are little pix under yor name off to the left of a post like in here

The pix at the bottom can be added to your signature It has to have a web addy like http://www.joestowing.com/Newsig6.jpg is the one I am running now you must have [url ] before and [/url ] after the web addy no spaces between the l and the ]

Chris has been busy at work and hasn't had a chance to turn on the gallery on this board....hopefully soon!
