    Question Another Predator Question

My truck is currently running a little lean (exhausts a little white smoke and drips fluid). I have been tampering with my predator tuner to see if I can rid my vehicle of this. Do you think adjusting the fuel will help? Which way do I adjust it positive or negative side? I think it allows you to just +/- 5%, so how much is a good starting point? Also, will adjusting the spark advance help any?

Yep, it comes on after the truck has been running for a bit. Paid $100 in diagnostics to only hear the dealership say that they think it is because there are wires missing from my PCM harness, since I was previously N/A. I don't think that is solely the problem. They wasted two hours and looked at everything except for what I told them was probably the problem. As soon as I got home, I found one vacuum line that was still loose. So, I know they didn't check that and it did improve the condition some. I have been trying to track it down as a remaining leak in the vacuum or my intake, but haven't found anything yet.

Looking at the manual again, I realize I missed the part where it says to adjust negative for richer and positive for leaner. I am thinking about trying it, but I would like to hear any warnings first. Is this a bad idea?

Yeah, that was because Mark sent me a 100mm idler with my bracket. It was too big and was rubbing against the blower pulley.

ok. i was having the same lean problem. with the Predator you can adjust +/- 10 %. i also had the SES light come on. i erased the code and added 7% fuel and i haven't had the light come on at all since.

So, you did -7% on the predator to add fuel, correct? Let me read the manual one more time, because I thought I read that negative adds fuel (richer), and positive is leaner.

Sweet! I ended up have to go -10% (Richer) on mine, but the smoking is pretty much gone. I took if for a test drive and the SES light never came back on and the smoking was very minimal.
