Unhappy lights still not working after boost gauge install

the gauge works fine. I hooked the ground wire to a screw above the e-brake and the white wire to the dimmer switch wire(small blue wire with red stripe) and the light still doesn't work when I turn on the dash lights. The bulb is new too. What am I doing wrong?

check the ground. run a wire out under the hood and ground it to the block or the frame and try that then run a hot one to the bat . you will know which way to go from there.

Yep its the ground. I had it on the brass colored metal area above the e-brake. THen I moved the ground to the silver area below the fuse panel and it worked!

In case nobody knows, there is a ground behind the drivers side kick panel. There is a silver ring around a body screw, and you can place up to 3 solderless flag connectors on this ring.

Hello. One of my friend had the same problem on his dash light and he is kinda confused about it's wiring because he is still a newbie troubleshooting the dimmer switch. Lucky to find this thread with helpful tips and information. I'm gonna let my friend know about this so he could finish fixing his problem. Anyway, thanks for sharing this.
