    Santa Pod next weekend

Just a reminder that if any of you are around, I'll be at Santa Pod next weekend for the Europ drag finals, towing Urs' funny car with my HD truck. We're a pretty hospitable team with a big fridge.....

    Maxxc666...

Tell Urs that we still watch how he performs over here in the states. I check eurodragster often enough to see how everyone is running. Tell him the Texas boys say Howdy, and good luck with the Finals.

Thanks Nitroman, I'll pass it on. Since he's leading the points going into the final round, I'm hopeful for a good weekend and I dare say we'll see off a bottle or two of JD afterwards! I'll try and post some pictures next week.

    Rob,

I can get you back there into the pits, but there's no real place to park to display as it'll be full - they make a lot the lower classes park on the grass whilst the fuel cars are in real tight and we always end up jostling for space to put the bodies down when we work on the cars.

Well, we did it and retained the FIM European Methanol Funny Car title, but it was close. Urs lost with a 5.8, but had a huge moment at 2/3 track and actually clipped the wall at over 200mph. The data loggers show he never lifted, but the shake set in and we lost the run, but took enough points to keep the title.

The truck was great to tow all weekend an for the final run we had 17 people in/on it - probably a new santa Pod record! Ironically I was the one waving the Swiss flag during the celebrations - fitting given the discussions over national pride this week...

Check my post on the main board on the LG conversion, and next year's racing plans. Can't wait.

    max.
