REBIRTH of a BLACK TRUCK: from ugly to HOTTIE (lots of pix)

At first, I could never understand guys who labor over detailing their trucks. Then I attended a class given by MIKE PHILLIPS of Meguiar's for HTSC and boy, what an eye-opener. I have always PAID to get my rides detailed but it is definitely DIFFERENT if you do it yourself. here is how my lid looked before:

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I already have a sign that reads: WILL DETAIL FOR MODS!!
Josh, you may not know this but I am BLAMING you for this new obsession with detailing. Seeing how much TLC you shower on your truck's finish was very inspiring.
Now I am ready for that TOTW plan!!!

Looks fantastic! How'd you like the PC 7424? I've been considering buying one, but after reading a few articles, the whole thing kind of scares me....what with the taking *off* the bad paint to reveal the good paint underneath. Scared I might take off too much!

It's practically impossible to damage your paint with the PC. Unless you're using an aggressive product to remove defectsevery time. But if you maintian your paint, then you can apply swirl remover, polish and wax with it every week and it won't hurt it. If you were closer, I'd offer a demo so you can see how it works.
