Although the instruction say loosely mount the L bracket and then install the fan. I suggest if you can mount the L brackets to the flat plates first. It is difficult to put the screws in the lower brakets once the fan is in the vehicle.

Thanx. Did my install today. Used your wiring instructions etc and they helped a lot since the included instructions were horrible.

Install was still miserable. The air box has to be removed and the intercooler reservoir has to be shoved out of the way. And the spacing is still real tight. The JDM instructions at http://www.teamjdm.com/id78.htm even though for another fan also helped.

I think that your recommendation about premounting the L bracket was a great idea. I ended up measuring the fan shroud mounts and brackets and then tightening them up before installing to get everything installed right. I tried it like the instructions said and only wasted time.

Whole ordeal took about 6 hours. Could have probably saved 1 of them if I had mounted the L brackets first and probably another 1 if I had all my tools ready from the beginning. One other tip, make sure to cover the factory fan with a towel before uninstalling it (leather gloves might also work - I have enough cuts on my hand to prove that would have been worth my time.
