I installed a 2002 hd charger in my 02 150 But Im wondering what size crank pully I should start with or if my truck would handle a bigger pully ... also what should I be seeing for boost stock ?
thanks for any help you could give me .

to make your truck faster while sticking on the extremely reliable side, go with a 6lb and a predator. if you want a little more performance while taking a little more risk, like myself and a few others, strap on the big ole 8lber and do some of ^ that! make sure you get a good dyno tune though with A/Fs less than 12.

with you having a regular f150, try keeping boost at 12#'s or less. With the procharger i had on my 01', i was seeing 12#'s easily....but i didn't want to go any higher than that. I would say go with a +6# lower pulley from any good tuner. That along with your stock HD blower will be putting out about 12#'s of boost. Hope this helps.

hey harleytruck9144, if i go with 6lbs lower pulley, how much boost will i gain? and if i get a predator, do you recommend a Auxiliary Idler Kit

bigdaddy1381,
by swapping to a 6# lower, you'll gain about 5-6#'s probably...you'll see somewhere around 11-12#'s total. I'm running an 8# lower and still have no aftermarket idler pulleys yet and have had no signs of slippage.

what are your goals...
common upgrade to feed the need for speed
6lb lower and appropriate belt, for total of 12lbs of boost
some NGK TR6 :PLugs gapped accordinly
Tuning device like Sniper, SCT XCal II or Predator and a custom dyno tune to get ya dialed in correctly from a reputible tuner
Possibly a MAF extender if your are close to maxing out your MAF...

The MAF can only read a certain amount of airflow...when that threshold is exceeded, you can no longer be assured of a safe air/fuel ratio. The extender electronically increases the effective range.
