    Need 01 Truck Info ASAP!

    Guys,

A friend of mine has just bought an 01 from Florida and is doing the paperwork for the UK SVA test. The VIN sticker is illegible (worn?) and Barry desperately needs the weights to go on the forms and new plate - GCVW, GACW, Front and Rear.

BTW, Barry is in Boscombe, near Bournemouth, owns a bike clothing shop and has upgraded from a V6 F150. He'll be signing up here soon.

    max.

Well, I'm still up anyway (and also have an '01) so here it is:
    GVWR: 6275 lbs
    GAWR (front): 3100 lbs
    (rear): 3250 lbs

Hope the above info is what he needs

    Kromdom,

Thanks for the speedy reply. The real important one is the GCVW as it is not shown on the plate, but is in the handbook. We need this for the UK and end up making additional plates to show it.

    Max,
Took out the manual and the only references to GCW (Gross Combined Weight) I found were:
    1. page 173 defining it: The combined weight of the TOWING vehicle (including passengers and cargo) and the trailer. No actual figure given.

    2. page 177:
HD F-150 4X2 with auto trans
    Engine: 5.4 L
    Rear Axle ratio: 3.73
    Max GCWR: 4,500 kgs/ 10,000 lbs
Max trailer weight: 1,825 kgs/4000 lbs

    Additional definitions on p. 174:
GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Ratio): Max combined weight of towing vehicle (including passengers and cargo) and the TRAILER. The GCWR indicates the max loaded weight that the vehicle is designed to tow.

Max Trailer Weight: Max weight of a trailer the loaded vehicle (including passengers and cargo) is permitted to tow. It is determined by subtracting the weight of the loaded trailer-towing vehicle from the GCWR of the towing vehicle.

Got all of the above WORD-FOR-WORD from the manual. Good luck
