    2" drop good?

I dont know of any truck shops in my area, only shops around here in LA (that i know of) deal with rice rockets or off-roading. so my question i guess is a bit more indepth then just drop recomendations but a general answer of a place/places to go wether on line or not. i havent had my truck for more then 6 months and ive never owned a truck b4 so im a bit new to the truck world, but damn do chicks jock it anyways droping it is next on my list, so can i just do the drop or do i NEED to change the shocks or replace anything, and whats the price range for droping my HD mmmm like 2 inches in the frnt and bck?

Check with Mark from Lightning Force Performance. He has the lowest prices on lowering springs and shackles.

Johnny Lightning has some slick 3" rear shackles. They look nice and I hear that the fit is nice.

Western Chassis make the shackles that I got from a member on the board. They have the same Hard rubber bushing that the stock ones have.

Most others like Beltech use a Urethane bushing that sometimes squeaks.

    Hope that helps

I have done a 3/3 drop, I could help if you plan on doing it yourself, I would go with 3" coils and 2" shackles. But that is just me from doing the hole kit and koboodle. HB

Mine aren't rusty anymore!!!!! I tried to polish them and they came out okay. I just scuffed them and painted over it though. I will finish them one day.

Does anyone know where I can get a new set of shackle bushings?

I've got the JLP 3" drop shackles with polyurethane bushings and haven't had any squeak problems.

My understanding is that they may squeak if they are on too tight.
