man, jason's lightning was a monster... well i guess it would have to be in order to peg out a 90mm mass air meter. sorry i got there a little late, i was in 8 different towns in 1 day (on my way back from gainesville) as soon as i get my SBTB i will need to re-dyno it and see how much it and the e-fan helped out!

Yeah that sucker hit 1023 AD counts at 5500rpm. Its a fun truck on the dyno I know that much.
We were glad you stopped by I know you were all over the state that day. email me or call the shop when you want to come back down. Then we can see how much more we can get out of it !!
Also once we get into the beginning of next year we are going to set up some real fun dyno days with scantily clad women and music / food / etc.

Got Drag Radials, Finally
Name:
Torrie, I have a question. I just purchased a REM ported TB from a nloc member. It looks great so I put it on. I am having an issue with the idle, it is too high. I have checked all connections and the TPS voltage. I unplugged the battery in hope of letting the computer adjust but still no luck. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tim
I will try putting the stock TB back on and see if it clears up, tomorrow.
The only thing I could think of, was that the paddles are letting too much air by when closed???? need to look at it closer, put a light behind it and see.

Make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks. Above that is there a way to adjust the throttle stop ?

that could be the case. I havent worked with one of those personally.
What RPM does it idle ?

i would say that the only possibility is that the paddles are letting a little air creep between them and the sidewalls... as for the idle, there is a set screw but even if you move it the idle will reset back to the original, the only way to adjust idle is through the computer.

The PCM can only make adjustments to idle speed with the IAC within a limited range. If the TB is cracked open too far the EEC can't do anything further on its own to adjust it.
None of us can accurately speculate what exactly is the cause without logging the vehicle to see exactly what is occurring.

Well it appears they took too much off around the paddles, I can see light all the way around. I put the stock TB back on and it idles just fine. I guess I am just out $75 bucks. Oh well, I tried for a little more.
