    Unhappy with Belltech!

Well awhile back i did a belltech 3/5 on my truck and it road like crap. It looked really cool so i convinced myself that it was worth letting break in and see if thier is a difference. Well to my suprise nothing changed. Im extremly unhappy with my ride quality espeacially in the rear. The ? is what can i do, i love the stance but i hate the ride quality, my next option is a full air ride technologies supsension but that would take awhile, any opinions are appreciated, thanks

what shocks are you running? those belltech nitro drop shocks are junk imo, but to each their own. i have the edelbrock ias performers on my truck, made for the 1/3 drop i have and i love the ride. i would check their website (www.edelbrock.com) or call them and talk to a tech and he can recommend a setup for your exact vehicle and drop.

Another good choice for lowered shocks are the Doetsch Techs, available here:

    http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/Doet...ch_shocks.html

Cost is appr. $40 each plus shipping.

Used Hellwig rear anti-sway bars and Bilstein shocks...night & day difference in ride (I have a 2 in. rear drop using shackles).

when i had the 2" rear shackle drop mine had great ride quality. Its just when i switched to the belltech 3/5 when my ride quality went to ****. If i dont figure out a solution to this within the next month im just going to barrow the money and order a complete air ride suspension setup. Sorry about rambling on just kinda frustrated.

Do u still have the stock bump stops? If so, get smaller ones and gain extra clearance!

My buddy had the same kit on his 2000 and he hated it, bottomed out all the time, ride was like a tee tr totter( excuse the spelling) and he snapped hesnapped his drive shaft. So now it is time to put a kit on my 2000. he sold his harley and got a lightning and went with the eibach kit and loves it, he tells everyone how great it is.

I do not currently have the Doetsch Tech shocks, but I have used them in the past. Pretty good shocks for $40 and much better than the Bell Techs from what I've heard. I always hear people complain about the BT shocks, but I have never heard anyone complain about the DTs.
