Being a NON-techie myself, I did not want to preach. But thanks for bringing it up. Gents, from what I have read here and elsewhere: DIMPLED AND SLOTTED IS BEST (my 2 cents)

    Ultimately, your call

    Angry count me out

I'm out. I had a look @ my 22's and for the (L00Ks), rotor and caliper upgrades are not needed (rims cover them up). I don't drive to hard (only when challenged). But, for future (horsepower) upgrades (Should I or Not). Whatcha Boys think (just in case)? Apples & Oranges???????

I sent my paypal to Richard at rotorpros a little while ago and he replyed back:

Great Eric!! You are the first to pay and will be the first to receive them!!!! Thanks for including the fact you have a Lightning and not a Harley. I was under the impression the group buy was for Harley's only. I will have to stock up on Lightnings as well. I am glad people are taking advantage of this really low price!!!! Please put in a good word for us upon receiving and installing your rotors!!! Thanks
Sounds like we are dealing with a great guy !!

I cant wait to get them on my Lightning

    Lightbulb more info

    From e-mails sent by rotorpros:

    1. NO WAITING: instead of waiting for the GB minimum of 5 buyers to send payment, he will order as soon as payment has cleared or arrived. Turn around time is 2-3 business days (add 2 EXTRA days for custom paint)
    2. When you place your order, please specify:
year & model of your truck (EXAMPLE: '03 Lightning)
pattern style (EXAMPLE: dimpled & slotted)
COLOR if custom paint if desired ($40 extra)

    3. He prefers money orders but will gladly accept PayPal (even if the FEES are killing him)

    4. His prices will INCREASE very soon! (not a pressure/sales tactic but a plain heads up)

If you think this GB is for you, GIT R DONE!

    P. 1 of this thread has a link to pix & his ebay site. Dimples look very similar to cross-drilled. Also read your question in another post and here is what I found (write-up for a different brand of rotors but also applies)

Designed for the enthusiast who wants the “look” of a cross-drilled brake rotor, but without the inherent problems. In addition to the highly effective Slots that dissipate heat, rotors are enhanced with a series of “dimples” that look like drilled holes but are only as deep as the recommended minimum rotor thickness.
In other words, the structural integrity of the rotor is not compromised, as it would be if crack-prone holes were drilled.
The faux-drilled treatment adds to the look of the rotor. On the performance side of the equation, rotors are designed to run cooler, improve both wet and dry braking, and have outstanding reliability.
