The reason that you may have not heard it before was the brake pads need a little time to break in.

Now I may jsut be talkin out my azz but that is how I understood it.
you make a very good point ( i was getting there)

    And me too ??

I need to do my front brakes now and would like to swap in some drilled or dimpled slotted rotors while I'm at it.

Link above should give you some tips. HTSC will be having a MOD party soon, will also be taking pictures for lots of HOW-TOs:
    1. e-fan
    2. FTVB
    3. rotors
    4. rear anti-sway bar
    5. shocks
    6. L 3rd brake light
Above mods have already been featured before with HOW-TOS but we will go into a detailed, blow-by-blow with pictures

The rotors were not that bad to do, I did mine in about 2 to 3 hours and was not in a hurry at all, but I had help from a friend. I would say do the fronts first because they are the harder of the two.

Yes you are but highly recommend contacting Rich directly so you may still get a good deal. A few guys have done so and still got deals cheaper vs. his ebay store.
