must be the ricer in my neighborhood i smoked every fri. night...

The paint code should be in your door jam.

Just an FYI, you can smooth/paint the AC vents too...

I like that. Better then CF and nice and clean! Maybe the silver off my two tone would look good as well! I still need to put the mods I have on though! Looks great Jon

Looks great. I have done a bunch of stuff also. So far: radio surround, upper console bezel, speedo/headlight switch surround, seatbelt upper trim covers, oval shaped insert on top of the dash. I have also done some stuff on the outside and under the hood.

I have a buddy who does lots of paint work, and he is in the process of working on some more: front console insert, rear window surround trim, L-third brake light housing.

I am really glad to see your pics of the window switch/arm rest pieces. I have been wanting to do those also, but wasn't sure about painting without sanding off the lettering. How does the lettering look up close, and how well did the paint/clearcote work over the letters?

    Thanks,
    Jim

the lettering is still the same height - as far as sanding goes - they didnt do a whole lot to the stock pieces - they sprayed them with some kind of primer and sanded that - the thing that stinks is that our trim pieces are dyed from the factory - they arent molded in the darker gray/black. therefore, in some spots, when the primer is applied, it will react with the dye, therefore some spots will have to be sanded and smoothed - i just got lucky that the areas around the lettering were okay. i dont know what kind of primer, but it was a self leveling, plastic adhesion promoter, or something along those lines.
