    Question Pulley Install... Balancer dimensions.

I recently just got an 8 pound pulley for my 03;. A friend of mine owed me some money and he had some equipment from his lightning that was left over. Well I installed the Plenum and Throttle body without any problems. But when I went to put on the lower pulley the center wouldn't fit around the harmonic balancer. Do the parts not interchange? If so does anyone have the dimensions for the Harmonic balancer so I can have the pulley reemed out for fitment? Or could this be possible? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

If his L was a 2000 model the bolt pattern will not line up. If its interchangable you will need a hub or another pulley. This is the only scenerio that would cause this. I believe 2001 and up all have the same bolt pattern but the 200 does not. I would not "reem" the pulley. You want that to be percise or you'll create a problem with the crank if its not 100% centered up correctly!

If the pulley won't fit on your damper it must be from a '99 or '00 "L". It can be made to fit by taking it to a machine shop and having it bored out. The bolt pattern is the same for both.

I have the bore size at my shop, let me know if you need it.
