    Question What Can I Expect?

About a week ago I put on an accufab throttle body, bassani cat back, Valve body, and ram air kit, Iridium Plugs, all tuned with a diablo. What kind of times can I expect? Also I have an 8# ready to be mounted but this is my everyday driver so I am a little leary about installing it. Should I install or should I trade for a 6#? What do ya'll think? Thanks for the input.

i'm gonna guess you go from 14.2-14.4....mainly all depends on traction and temp though. I have an 8# on mine...but its not a daily driver. With a good tune, i really feel an 8# is safe. The most boost i have seen so far is around 15lbs.

You can drive the truck with an 8# pulley everyday so long as you get a get a good tune to keep your A/F numbers and timing in check. Standard driving will not change much, but when you goose it past half throttle you will feel a big difference! Just be smart about it and you will be fine.

I would think low to mid 13s if you can get a decent 60ft...Good luck. I ran 13.6 with a 2 # upper and 4# lower before I sold the truck, including your other mods as well. Power was 380hp/450tq I think...

I'm runnning an 8# lower and my 60ft was a 2.1....1/4 mile time was 13.5@102. Mods are in sig. It was dead on 70 degrees and a little humid that night. I'm hoping to get deeeep into the 13's next time out.

Expect to get a 13.5 or 13.6 with the stock Goodyear tires once you have the 8# pulley installed. Tire spinning is the big culprit that will keep you from getting any faster. With the HP and TQ gained with the 8# pulley, 60ft time should be in the 1.9 or 1.8 range, but all the spinning or easing into the throttle to avoid spinning will put you up closer to 2.1. Good luck and enjoy.

When you post 8# is that the 8# for HD or L? I always get confused with that. I just got the 8# L / 6# HD for my truck with the Diablosport Predator tuner, 160 degree themostat, with K&N Gen II, Boost Bypass (allready done) and I'll be installing an oil Separator.... What am I looking at? Also, the truck is pushing 30K miles... does that make a difference or is there anything I should be concerned with?

its always like that they always state L's 8lb is for the L because they have a smaller upper pulley so it would mean its a 6lber for HD same thing with the 6lber which is a 4lber to the HD
( if you have the stock 3.16 upper)

By the way this will be an everyday... just want some punch when I need it... Ever drive in Dallas?? Also, will I need any mods to fuel injectors? I'm trying to limit my mods to just this for now.

If you read anywhere on this board, the main thing is that when you get a larger pulley and increase the boost, you must get the truck on a dyno immediately to verify that your air/fuel ratio is safe. Also, since you are using a Predator, you can datalog the timing advance to see where it is at WOT. Keep it under 17* and your A/F under 12.0 and you should be OK.

    1FastScrew,

Thank you... So, when they say tuned... that's not with the predator? On the dyno, and forgive me I'm very cherry to this stuff, won't it measure HP and torque?

    1FastScrew,

Also, when you say immediately... Is that immediately or within a couple of days... Does the Predator have what you're saying in the instructions?
