Well it seems that in their rush to get my kit out they either sent wrong parts or they got something wrong.

the entire rear end is offset to the passenger side by almost an inch & the pan-hard bar is fully adjusted to the max. the front shockwaves are defintiely the wrong ones. At full height it barely clears the tires by 1/4-3/16" which is not right...

So it all comes off today, Hotchkiss goes back on so the body shop can finish the paint & I will reinstall the Air ride in a month or so after I get the parts sorted out.

nope but its all good... Im not pissed yet.. LOL

I think it was an honest mistake... the truck being in the body shop the last 2 weeks I hadn't had a chance to look it over, they pointed out a couple things... so I am just going to take care of it while they finish the truck. Now that I have the correct TVS rear leafs for the S-Crew, it will give me a chance to see what's up... I have to order TVS/Bilsteins from mark @ LFP today... then I will have a complete TVS to sell.

My QA-1's were toast & that I am NOT happy about. Barely 30,000 highway miles on them & they are shot, not rebuildable.. $600 down the toilet... I am not impressed. Oh well.

Josh, I will box up the leafs & finish up some other treats for you & ship on monday, for sure.

not rebuildable? i thought that was the big plus side to those besides adjustable? guess its good i got my 27 dollar a piece bilsteins lol

as long as the leafs are here the week of the 20th, thats my spring break and i'd like to install them over that week off otherwise i wont get to until june. but if not no big deal...i can just put 5-10 more coats of zaino on my babies over break haha...not like i got any shows until may/june for the HD at earliest anyhoo.

well goodluck getting where ya need to be Rob! cant wait to see the finished products!

I will get them out on monday for sure... I have to no where to keep them after the movers come Monday AM.. LOL

Yes the QA-1s are "rebuildable" but the threaded part & the top stripped/broke off of 3 out of 4 & that means you have to replace the piston rods... $22-32 each X4 (no sense in not rebuilding all 4) then $30 per shock rebuild labor, $15 seal & snap ring kit... I am at 3/4 of the $130 ea purchase price at that point... very frustrating...

    Thanks

ah i see....would heim joints that stan sells keep that from happening? or do they serve a different purpose?
be perfect time to install them with the bed off...unless they dont go on the same way with the bags

i'd still like to get a set someday...fully adjustable thats pimp. lol

    Rob,

I may be wrong, but I think a rebuild includes a new rod.

yep the prices I posted were the itemized list the rebuild shop in chicago quoted me...

rod: $22-25 each, seal kit $15 per shock, rebuild labor $30 flat. I will wait until QA-1 gets back with me on what they will do for me, if anything.

I am ordering a set of TVS/Bilsteins from LFP tomorrow. Leafs go in tomorrow afternoon. The movers were here for 10 hours today I am beat & the body shop is closed.

Josh, I will get everything out asap. I promise.. sorry for the delay you will ahve them for your spring break.
