LoL, i forgot all the steps in that except for the Z5, ZFX, and Z6 that R126 said he was getting. LoL.

I can't explain the claybar though any better than the zainobros.com site does. they explain it perfectly, although still alot of guys with new trucks still don't bother to clay.
I gotta reclay mine this summer, and start from scratch again

Josh: Have been using Zaino also as well as their detail spray, but have bad static dust attraction. Tried Slick Stuff & after several hours, it seems to keep the area practically dust free. Don't you have the same problem?

Gosh you guys know your stuff, so I pose the question..I bought my truck brand new (dealer washed it), took it home and dusted it off. I did the following:
    1. Applied Z1, then Z5, buffed off.
    2. Sprayed Z6, wiped off
    3. Applied Z2 buffed off.
    4. Sprayed Z6, wiped off.

Question is since my truck was brand new is this good enough or should I start over and wash with dawn and then use the claybar to ensure the best look. It looks darn good now, but since I only have about a weekend of work into it, should I start over. I have noticed a slight difference in feel from the hood to the doors. The doors are very smooth to the touch, but the parts of the hood seems to be slightly rough. You thoughts are always appreciated.

    Thanks.

rsav, if the paint is feeling smooth and everything, no big reason to strip it all and restart, unless you still wanted to claybar. The claybar will make a big improvment though even if you think it feels smooth now. As long as the paint was wax free before you started, you should be okay though.
ANyway, i see you are using Z1 instead of ZFX. I think you're only supposed to do one coat of polish in a 24 hour period with Z1.

HD2NV89, if i wash the truck and dont' Z6, it attracts dust like crazy! As soon as i Z6 it though, it attracts barely anything compared to before. For those inbetween times i use a cali car duster. Works awsome and wont' scratch at all. I use it every day in the spring/summer/fall to keep the truck clean as long as it doesn't rain or get too dirty
