    Anybody know about Liquid Ebony?

Has anyone heard of it or seen people using it at car shows? Suppose to take out scratches, swirl marks and such. I heard it was good for Black paint.

A guy I know had it today and showed me because all my vehicles are black. He learned about it at a car show, some guy with a black rodster was using it. He said he's never seen a deep black like that. It's suppose to be some type of cleaner compound. I haven't found there official web site, only co.'s selling it. Gonna go to the shop he bought it from and inquire about it. Also, see if it works well with my Zaino products, since it might be a compound.

Been using Liquid Ebony since 1984. Great stuff but is really used as a show car glaze during the last buffing before wax goes on. It really must be put on with a high speed (like 3600-4000RPM) commercial grade machine with a really fine lambs wool (cashmere) bonnet. Obviously, if you don't know what you're doing or have much experience at it, it is quite easy to burn (literally) the paint on your vehicle. Given the advances in technology with polymers over many years, I really don't see any purpose in going to all the work when there are so many really good products out there now. I guess old guys (your's truly) that are pretty anal-retentive hod-rodder types might want to use Ebony once a year before the show season starts but that might be the only reason that I might understand. Besides, you can only get it at fairly specialized auto body supply stores and it's expensive as heck!

Ok thanks for that.....but as I am in the UK, there are no specialised bodyshops here who have heard of it.
Any recommendations or contacts to try to get some shipped over here?

Went to my local auto body supplier (Wesco) to pick up a bottle of Liquid Ebony to send to Kev. Found out Clean Bright discontinued Liquid Ebony last August. 3M acquired rights. 3M carries it as a product called: "Perfect It". Part number for the 32oz. bottle is 3M-051131-05996.
