25 seems a little high to me for an open air element. More realisticaly I think that you would see 15 max. WOuld like to see dyno runs supporting claims for both.
When I called to order the Airbox I spoke with Sue about a possible group buy on the power pipe. She said they currently had a waiting list for the product because of high demand. If you are interested in getting the power pipe I would call and get on the list.
Kromdom....Sue said that because it was a Ram Air Kit ,that it is pretty hard to test on a dyno because the truck is sitting still. She said that essentially it is that same as the other box, but with a second hole cut in the bottom and a pipe that mounts near the trans cooler (I think she said trans cooler). The more cool air, the better.

Not sure if Sue answered your question but thanks for the post. I figured the snorkel (FORCED kit) was for that purpose: draw cold air. I remember reading about guys who used the attahcments from vaccum cleaners (also the hoses) to McGyver something similar.
Yeah, for like $30 at home depot you can create the ram air set up with shop vac parts. Nice part is the reg air box has the hole on the bottom if you want to add the ram ait later.

If your not using the ram air hose do you have to seal up the holes or just leave it like that? Also is the filter pre-oiled?
So I guess I am the guinea pig with this thing. Bottom line is I should pick up 15-25 HP on the dyno (supposedly) and possibly pick up a couple more on the street. Thats where it counts the most anyway. We'll see.
