Does anyone make them with the Harley orange stripe on the bottom? Has anyone tried to paint the stripe back on or would it block something?

I dont think that painting it back on would look so good, dont get me wrong, it may work. I like the orange stripe to Cayman. I have some coming and am toying about modding my stockers to accept the HID system but will see if that may screw something up when I get them in and can take a look at it.

So what is the trick for stock looking lights but with the HID brightness? Lemme know how you're mod comes out.

One is the light itself, but i am not sure on the reflective surface internal to the housing. Will be able to find that out when i get them in hand. I think that I saw a thread on here a while back where someone did this mod that I am talking about and then again maybe I was smoking bat guano at the time. LOL but if it can work then I will let yall know.

Are the reflectors inside the sealed lense on the Xenarc's diferent than the stockers? I thought that I read here somewhere where some of the guys were cutting the housings and doing some different mods. Maybe it was the rear lights they were messing with. It'll take some big kahunas to cut up a set of $500 lights.

I have seen some guys pop the L rear covers off, after heating them, and theen painting them to match the truck color, then seal them back on. Dont think that I have heard of anyone cutting into the front though, ecept for things like strobes. Most who do strobes cut holes into the corners and the rears, not the front headlight housings.

600HP02 cut a hole in the back of the 02 HD front heads and put in a set of self contained BMW HID projector headlamps.

you can do a HID retro-fit kit into the stock housings, but its not the best choise, especially with 350 bucks for xenarc HID's right udner your nose

the retro-fitting is not only illegal, it will be a more scattered light since the stock reflectors are meant for halogen and HID reflectors are different, plus retro fit kits puts out more glare than a true HID conversion kit like the xenarcs, and you also will loose your highbeams with a retro kit, where with the xenarcs you keep them.

and if anybody tells you that you dont need high beams with HID's, they are smokin somethin! the high beams on the xenarcs are RIDICULOUSLY bright

plus the xenarcs are a plug and play drop in kit, that has everything you need to do HID lighting right.

dont get me wrong, i really really LOOOOVE that HD amber stripe in the headlight, but after throwing the xenarcs in, i've never looked back

Yeah, but to do it right you need to get the clear corners as well.
So what was a $500 mod goes up to ???? $750 maybe? with shipping?
