Just curious if its ok to drive without a front license plate. Don't like blocking airflow to the intercooler. Any of you NJ guys driving without a front plate?

yep...another thing thats gotten me pulled over a few times
before i'd get pulled over for speeding 5 mph over the limit all the friggin time
got radar, and now i get pulled over for tint, no front plate, driving at dusk with only foglights on, etc.
i have my front plate rigged up so its quick release, just held on with 2 tiny hex bolts, and i can have it off or on in 30 seconds. and when its off you just see 2 tiny 1/2" tabs sticking between the bumper seam. this way at shows i can take it off and its barely even noticible, yet when i get pulled over for no front tags 3 weeks later because "um...sorry officer...i just came from a show and i must have forgotten to put my front tag back on"...i can put it back on in like 30 seconds
if you rig up the frame so it'll come on/off real quick, if you get pulled over with it off, just keep it in the bed or something, and usually they will let you go if you throw it back on right there
damn jersey and their piss yellow tags
got a pic of that setup,
Somehow my whole LP bracket just fell apart when I installed the JJENT lower brackets. LOL I think a box cutter or something jumped up in there and cut all that stuff out but I DONT KNOW HOW that could have happened!
Velcro anyone?
i'm not sure if i have a pic handy, i know i posted them before but dont have time to search right now.
basically on the stock plate frame, where the 2 tabs stick out from the bumper and connect to the plate frame, i cut the tabs off flush against the plate frame so the frame came off and 1/2" of the tab stuck out from the bumper.
i got another plate frame from somebody on here who took theirs off, and cut the upper tabs off leaving about 1/2" of tab from the top of the licence frame. then i drilled a hole in the center of the 2 tabs on the top of the plate frame, and in the center of the 2 tabs sticking from the bumper. then when i put my plate on, i just overlap the tabs and put a tiny hex bolt in and tighten down.
get to a show, takes a whole 30 seconds to take off and all you see is 2 tiny 1/2" tabs from the bumper, which is hardly noticible, and a hell of a lot better than the piss yellow jersey tags
then when i leave (or get pulled over), the tags back on with 2 bolts in about 30 seconds
if you'd like, i can get pics this weekend, although krix will yell at me for the bolts rusting cuz they are getting old
$40 IF i get caught and my many PBA cards dont get me outta trouble..........
Ill never rock a front plate!
No problem I understand what you were describing.
Thanks
